I design and build accessible, scalable, and secure solutions, set up infrastructure, and manage servers — while keeping things simple.
No over-engineering.

MonOCR — Digitizing a Low-Resource Language
Mon (mnw) is my native language. Most of our written history exists only in scanned books, so I built an OCR engine to help digitize them. It runs entirely in the browser via ONNX Runtime Web, powered by a ~6.6M parameter model combining MobileNetV3 and BiLSTM.
Together with a few friends, we open-sourced SDKs for Node.js, Python, and Go to make the technology easy to adopt. Try the live demo at ocr.mondevhub.com or browse the source on GitHub.
Simplifying a Critical Data Platform
Improved the architecture of a national biodiversity portal by replacing a complex multi-service setup with a simpler tech stacks and services manageable by small team. Reduced infrastructure costs by 33%, improved performance, and removed API limitations. The goal was to make the system easier to operate and maintain with a small team.
Faster, Leaner Data Pipelines
Redesigned the data pipeline for a regional research platform. Replaced Airflow and a heavy PostgreSQL workflow with a lightweight custom pipeline. Reduced operating costs by 50% and improved data update time from 1–2 hours to under 2 minutes, supporting policy and research teams with near real-time data.
Building Products from Scratch (Full Lifecycle)
Designed and delivered multiple systems from the ground up, including GIS platforms, public data portals, dashboards, PWAs, and e-learning platforms.
Handled the full lifecycle — tech stack selection, architecture, initial codebase, deployment, infrastructure setup, and ongoing maintenance. Also mentored three junior engineers who later progressed into senior roles.
